Bestank's History

BESTANK's Quality Through the Years

Bestank Manufacturing Corporation began selling high-quality water tanks in September 1979.  Back then, all of its tanks were made of polyethylene (PE), a thermoplastic commodity heavily used in a wide range of consumer products because of its excellent malleability.  Under the leadership of Mr. Lian Tai, a Filipino citizen of Chinese descent, the company quietly but steadily grew, claiming the number one spot among local manufacturers of PE plastic storage tanks in just a few years.

As more water storage tank manufacturers set shop, however, Bestank became even more competitive, expanding the size of its manufacturing area, increasing its workforce, and upgrading its facilities to meet the growing demand of the public.  It subsequently oriented all of its targets to achieve its vision, which is to become the benchmark against which all other organizations in the same industry are compared.

In 1992, Bestank began manufacturing and distributing stainless steel water tanks in addition to its PE stock.  In 1997, it added pressure tanks to its range of products, and in 1998, it began distributing Italian-made pumps.  All these improvements, supplemented by an expanded distribution network and an aggressive marketing program enabled Bestank to double its scope of operations in just 12 years.

Meanwhile, to supplement its knowledge and stay current with technological advances in manufacturing, Bestank also joined and now retains membership in several sectoral associations  including the Philippine Water Association, the Philippine Plastics Industry Association, Inc. and the Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
